MY BACKGROUND:

WHERE I AM FROM?

I was originally born in Taipei, Taiwan and was adopted at the age of 13 to the United Sates.

MY OLD RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD?

I have always had a strong connection with food, however it was not the healthiest one since I consumed a lot of processed and fried foods. Food was my safety net as a way to connect with people but also as a vehicle to escape my personal and real world issues.

HOW AND WHY I CHANGED?

After I graduated from Culinary school in March, 2020 going right into COVID-19, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out a way to share my passion for food to the world, but in the process I experienced a lot of anxiety+depression and I turned to foods that made me feel “comforted” at the moment. Half way through, 2021, I was starting to get sick of myself and I felt like I had to do something to change it and that was to start by creating a healthy relationship between food, my health and mental state.

WHAT WAS MY EXPERIENCE?

I use to not pay attention to how food made me feel or how it affects my body, in fact my mom is the one that’s really knowledgeable about what and how food treats certain symptoms. I myself often experience brain fogs, anxiousness, and loss of motivation, but after reading a few books, paying attention to the food that I consume and connecting with nature, I can already feel and see the difference!

WHAT’S MY PURPOSE?

Now, I want to share some of the knowledge I have learned from my own personal experience and from medical proofed researches to help you live and feel better from a holistic point of view through healthy+ whole food recipes in addition to lifestyle tips!
